Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026: A Two-Week Celebration of Vietnam’s Leading Durian Region

On the morning of April 2, Mr. Dao My, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to review and finalize the proposal for the first Dak Lak Durian Festival in 2026.
According to the draft plan, the festival will be held under the theme “Dak Lak Durian – Connecting to Go Further”, and is scheduled to take place from August 15 to September 2, 2026.
As the first provincial-level durian festival, the event will be organized across key locations including Buon Ma Thuot Ward, Krong Pac District, Tuy Hoa Ward, and other durian-growing areas throughout the province.
Key Activities
The festival is expected to feature a wide range of activities, including:
- Opening Ceremony at March 10 Square
- Durian promotional pickup truck parade
- Durian & OCOP product fair showcasing local specialties
- Specialized durian trade conference
- Durian culinary festival
- Farm-level durian auctions
- International music night with DJ performances
- Tuy Hoa Half Marathon
- Orchard tours and durian tasting experiences
Pre-Festival Highlights
In addition to the main program, several unique activities will be organized in advance, such as:
- “Durian Pollination Experience” farm tour
- Talk shows on durian cuisine and nutrition
- Press conferences in Hanoi and Dak Lak to promote the event
